Everyone deserves quality, affordable housing. No one should have to make choices between everyday necessities, like food and medicine, and paying their rent. Republicans have wasted millions of taxpayer dollars that could have funded affordable housing, public education, and broadband internet. As a founder of the Oregon Housing Coalition and an Oregon Village Trustee, I have prioritized housing affordability because I believe housing is a right.  We now have three affordable housing projects being built in Oregon and a fourth that we partnered with the management company to provide much needed upgrades for the residents, primarily adults with disabilities.  This work was done by building a coalition of like-minded folks and taking time to educate myself on the complex world of affordable housing.  I hope to continue that work in the state legislature by building a bipartisan coalition of Wisconsinites who will advocate to their legislators the need for more quality, affordable housing.
